The home of Frederick & Julia Lowen was re-located in 1933 to allow Blackburn Road (which then ended in the vicinity of what is now Hawthorn Road) to be extended through to Burwood Road (now Burwood Highway). Later sold to Zagami and Crea, then lived in by Richard and Marlene Rijs - late 1970's, early 1980's.
