The tape has not been played but from the label it is presumed to be a recording of Rolf Harris launching Legacy week in 1972. For many years the main time of year for fundraising is September when Legacy holds 'Legacy Week'. Often there is a celebrity who would launch the appeal so possibly Rolf Harris did this in 1972. This membership ticket belonged to a member of the Partington family. Tickets admit bearer to games. Tickets include the names of office-bearers of the Greensborough Football Club and the season's fixture or draw. Gary Partington is a Life Member of the football club and a GHS member. The first Council meeting in the brand new Eltham Shire Office building on 1 May 1965. The following were on Council in 1965. Cr. L.C. Docksey (President), Cr. R.N. Maskell, Cr. J. V. McConnell, Cr. Mrs E. M. Edwards, Cr. A. E.Cracknell, Cr. J.A. Lewis, Cr. F. J. Favier, Cr. D. C. O'Beirne, Cr. T.A. Collins and Cr. Charis Pelling, some of whom appear in this photograph. The Shire of Eltham Council offices were located at 895 Main Road Eltham and were demolished in August 1996.This photo forms part of a collection of photographs gathered by the Shire of Eltham for their centenary project book, "Pioneers and Painters: 100 years of the Shire of Eltham" by Alan Marshall (1971). The collection of over 500 images is held in partnership between Eltham District Historical Society and Yarra Plenty Regional Library (Eltham Library) and is now formally known as 'The Shire of Eltham Pioneers Photograph Collection.' Updated Information from Bruce Frazer: This is Frazer's (not "Fraser") orchard, sold to A.V. Jennings Co. For housing development c1970. Address was "Alkoomi", Oban Rd. North Ringwood. State School 4120 was enclosed on its north & east sides by the orchard. Owned by Harold & Sylvia Frazer, 12 acres, growing mainly cherries plus plums & lemons.
