Lucelle Hats advertised itself from the late 1940s to the 1960s as a high-class millinery business situated at 80 Castlereigh Street, Sydney. The style of the hat conforms to the generally smaller and flatter styles promoted as fashionable in 1950s periodicals. Interestingly velvet and felt hats were by the mid-1950s being advertised as suited to mature women.
