Twenty 28 page printed program with a four colour cover printed on heavier stock for the 1971 Begonia Festival. Includes details of the organisers, a welcome to the City, Sovereign Hill, Official programme, (26/2 to 8/3), photos and details of the various tourist attractions, statistics about Ballaarat, some details of the facilities, churches, Royal South St and industry. The main text is printed in black ink, the centre 16pp consists of the programme printed in blue ink. Front page has a half full cover photo of the gardens area. All other photos are black and white. On page 31 is a small photo of a bogie tram at Mt. Pleasant and that these trams were 'doomed' and would be replaced by buses. On rear cover is a map of Ballarat in pink ink, showing the tram and bus routes. Second copy held - added 28/12/2002. See Reg Item 5042 for an advertising brochure for the festival. Demonstrates the Museum's ticketing systems and ongoing production of tickets.Block of 200 tickets - light red ink on off white paper, original denomination 5c, lettered A 125000 to A 125199, headed Ballarat Tourist Tramway and over stamped "80c" in black ink. The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple. The tickets are in the style of the former State Electricity Commission of Victoria tramway tickets. Tickets originally printed for general use on the trams 1974. Later over stamped to act as 80c tickets to save printing new tickets. Tickets used as Adults and Children (return). Framed photograph of three single truck trams at Gardens Loop, 27, 26 and 33 during December 1987 centenary by W. F. Scott. The same photograph used on page 2 of the BTM's "Ballarat Heritage Tramway" booklet. A similar photograph appears in the BTM Postcard - Reg. Item No. 1657 for another photograph of the same scene. Has Big W (Woolworths) building in the background, along with the Ballarat Working Men or Labor (labour) monument (8 hour day) in the photograph. Taken by John Phillips late 1960's or early 1970's. St tram 26 On back of slide in light black ink "Ballarat ...Photo of SEC Ballarat 26, with No. 14 and possibly No. 42 (Briquette roof advertisement and features on the same special trams in Reg. item 2064) waiting in Lydiard St. North for the arrival of the ARHS special on Saturday 21/8/1971 to undertake the last tour of Ballarat Tramways, prior to the closure of the system. The first line closure (Victoria St.) took place the following day. Has Reid's Coffee Palace building in the background and other buildings on the east and west side of Lydiard St. North. No. 26 has an SEC briquettes roof advertisement Kodak cardboard mount slide, taken by Peter Moses 21 August 1971.On back of slide in light black ink "Ballarat / ARHS outside station / special trams Lydiard St." and "P.
