This Visitors Book records visits and events which took place at the Eaglehawk Chambers and Hall. During the years 1929 to 1990 the Borough of Eaglehawk hosted various civic receptions for community groups and individuals including Local and State Ministers, The Cornish Society, Lions and Rotary Clubs, local sporting groups and records the various installation of Mayors and Mayoresses during this time period. A full leather bound volume recording visitation to the Borough between 1929 and 1990. Title deboss on font cover. Rev Daniel Foley was the third Bishop of Ballarat 1916 - 1941. A cousin to Archbishop Mannix of Melbourne he accompanied Mannix on his 1920 journey across the U.S.A giving many public speeches. He was witness to the removal of Mannix from the SS Baltic by the British in the Irish Sea, an event that made world headlines. A chronological list of events attended by the President in 1967. The President in 1967 was George Cowan, he wrote tips for the new president on what to expect with some useful tips. The presidential year ran from March to the following February. Was in a binder of documents that is passed from an outgoing President to the incoming President. It is primarily from the 1930s to 1990s.
