The Ansonia Clock Company was founded in Connecticut in 1851 and moved to a factory in New York in 1878. It ceased operations in 2006. Just north of the South New Moon mine on the Garden Gully reef, off the Bendigo/Pyramid Road, the New Moon mine began in 1867. In 1878 it purchased the lease of the adjoining Robin Hood Coy. The mine closed in 1917 and was reopened by the Bendigo Amalgamated Coy. in 1928 and closing for good in 1932.
