Mullawullah died on 23 September 1896. His funeral on 26 September attracted a large crown. IN 1897 the Australian Natives Association and the Ballarat Municipal COuncil raised money to this gravestone. Antwerp is near Dimboola, Victoria. The schoo, originally named Antwerp South State School, opened c. 1891.The building was condemned by the Shire of Dimboola in 1909 on health grounds due to overcrowding, and rebuilt. It continued operating until it was closed at the end of 1981 due to falling enrolments, and the buildings were removed from the site.
