(Jack) Weber and used to make scarves by and for the internees.Handmade wooden table top loom attached to a rectangular piece of crafttwood representing a table. 13 hooks attached to each wooden endpiece. Hans - Wolter von Gruenewaldt, German P.O.W (Ex South African - Mining engineer) painted these scenes and figures as murals on the walls of the Camp 13 Recreational hall. After WW2 the hall was purchased by the Murchison R.S.L as its headquarters in 1955. These paintings can now be seen at the David Jones Nursing Home in Murchison.Small photo album, with a collection of painted scenes and figures as murals on the walls of camp 13 Recreational hall. The album also includes photos of visitors to the Internment camps, Japanese Chan, Oki and Takamura families at the Tatura Historical Society, and visitors to the German War Cemetery during 1992/93. -

Ken Hill was a member of the Australian Army Amenities Service - AAAS Mobil Cinema Unit No. 36 around 1946-47. He was based at Murchison Camp 13 where Josef Thum, an artist, was a Prisoner of War. Made in Camp 13 by a POW.Rectangular light and dark wood cigarette case. One side has 2 birds sitting on 2 rings and 2 flowers on stems. The other side has a diamond inlay into triangles of different shades of brown wood. A small green square opens a slide lid to allow access to cigarettes.
