In 1871, Victoria Park, beside the Boroondara General Cemetery was set aside as a public reserve. As the Park developed, exotic plants were added to existing specimens. In 1910, a photograph of ‘The Oldest Inhabitant: A Giant Red-gum Tree’ in the Park was included in the Jubilee History of Kew. Fifty-one years later the tree was re-photographed by Colin Campbell. A 2007 Master Plan developed for the City of Boroondara advises the retention of this now dead River Red Gum, including a ‘managed risk zone’ and planting under the heavily lopped tree.‘The Old Gum Tree’ in Victoria Park. Four girls surround an older girl, who is reading Braille on a park bench. Believed to be Tilly Aston, the older girl has her hair in plaits and appears to be concentrated on the Braille pages in front of her. At the end of the park bench rests a man's hat and another book of Braille. This image has been reproduced widely and in a variety of black and white or sepia tones. Possibly a publicity image used by the RVIB. This is a set of 30 photographs of 4th Field Survey Squadron personnel undergoing regimental training in 1994, at Second Valley Conservation Park in South Australia. The aim of Exercise ‘Fuggy Hollow’ was typically to provide personnel a practical knowledge of infantry and minor tactics (IMT) at the section level, navigation and map reading, RATEL and survival in the Field.This is a set of 30 photographs of 4th Field Survey Squadron personnel undergoing regimental training in 1994, at Second Valley Conservation Park in South Australia. Mungo National Park is a desert north of Mildura. It has numerous archaeological relics, and is the site of ancient Aboriginal burials known as Mungo Man and Mungo Woman.
