Ballarat Tramway Museum South Gardens Reserve Wendouree ...A first aid box, rectangular shaped metal box 180mmHx265mmWx215mm D, painted black, hinged lid with 2 hinges, metal carrying handle on top, and metal locking clasp on the front. Has a white sticker with first aid written in red on the lid, and a gold SECV transfer. On the front of the box, below the locking clasp are the numbers "2787" in a gold transfer. Inside of box is gloss white, there are four metal brackets to hold some kind of partition. In the lid a four brackets to hold some kind of implement, and four corner brackets (similar to photo mounts) to hold something. Has a strong association with the donor, Warrington Cameron.Piece of sheet steel folded to give an upstand or method of attachment to a pole, enamelled with red, white and black paint for use at tram stops. Small red band at top, white band with letters CARS STOP HERE and large red band underneath, on both sides to indicate to drivers a compulsory stop- That is all tram to stop at the location. Photograph of SEC Ballarat tram No. 17, in Wendouree Parade, adjacent to the Depot. Tram showing destination of "Victoria St". Has on the front panel, adverts for "The Age" newspaper, and "Mutual Homes". Tram fitted with dash canopy lights and stripes, but the white stripe has not been extended under the dash canopy lighting. Photo taken on 28/2/1962. On Agfa paper.
