This is a design drawing for a McCraith House (Larrakeyeah), Dromana, also known as 'The Butterfly House' , which was commissioned by Gerald and Ellen 'Nell' McCraith, and designed in 1955 by architect David Chancellor, Chancellor & Patrick. It is one of the few modernist houses on the Victorian Heritage Register. The tape has not been played but from the label it is presumed to be a recording of John Gorton to launch Legacy week. For many years the main time of year for fundraising is September when Legacy holds 'Legacy Week'. Often there is a celebrity who would launch the appeal so presumably John Gorton recorded a message.
