The sleeves contain sheets of typed material detailing the background, military history and circumstances of death, burial place and commemoration of people from Tatura and surrounding areas who were killed in action in WW1. Some have photographs as well. 1 page list of personal details of Tatura's WW1 roll of honour. 1 page list of names, dates enlisted, regiment number, last unit, rank, action, DOB and burial place of those listed. 5 page list of Tatura and District WW1 Nominal Roll. 2 page list of Decorations and Awards to Tatura and District men. Penleigh Boyd, Robin and Patricia Boyd's son, writes “Prior to 1950 Robin, like most other amateur or hobby photographers, took black and white printed photographs. The oldest slides date from 1950 when Robin and Patricia travelled to Europe on Robin’s Robert Haddon Travelling Scholarship.” In 1948 Robin Boyd was awarded ‘joint first place’ in the Robert Haddon competition for his design of Mildura art gallery. The scholarship helped fund their first overseas trip. Robin and Patricia were passengers on the Greek ship “Cyrenia” departing in May 1950, passing through the Suez Canal and landing in Genoa five weeks later. For six months, they travelled extensively throughout Europe (predominantly driving themselves) - France, Italy, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.Colour slide in a mount. Robert Charlton conducted a blacksmith, wheelwright and farrier business on the corner of Evans and Station Street, Sunbury from 1918 to 1940. The copy was taken from a photograph displayed in Mick Walsh's garage which is now on the above site.A black and white photograph of two sheds. A weatherboard shed with corrugated iron roof is on the LHS and the corrugated iron building is the blacksmith's forge and wheelwright's workshop. Two men are standing in fron of the large doorway. Appears to be a 2nd AIF plaque which may have belonged to SGT Robert Henry Baxter.An item which refers to the 2nd Australian imperial force and WW2.Solid Brass plaque from mold, World War 2 era Plaque comprised of 2 areas(not parts) . Upper ,rising sun emblem marked "AUSTRALIAN COMMONWEALTH MILITARY FORCES" with the number 2 under the crown. Lower, with lettering "A.I.F" on top of a tin helmet.
