George Eastman (1854 – 1932) was an American entrepreneur who founded the Eastman Kodak Company with Henry A. Strong on September 4, 1888 in New York USA.and helped to bring the photographic use of roll film to the general population with an affordable box camera. In 1880 he founded the Rose Stereograph Company and became famous for producing stereographs, or stereoviews, which gave the illusion of being in 3D when seen through a hand-held viewer. Some of the pioneers of Moorabbin were staunch supporters of the Monarchy of England.
