Some highlights are: 30/6/1990 under the capable leadership of Mrs Elsie Germon the schools programme has been re-convened. Regular visits are being made to primary schools. Speakers are accompanied by sighted guides. 9/8/1991 Executive Director, Mr John Cook reported merger of the Braille & Talking Book Library with AFB. First radio appeal for 3RPH raising over $30,000, opening of the new Baringa Day Centre at Shepparton. 30/6/1996 the annual report highlighted the Centenary of AFB it was noted that self-help has always been the major emphasis underpinning the work of the Blind Member's Council. The Tilly Aston Fund raised over $1/2 million for the new National Information Centre. The peer support work and monitoring of services, ensures that we give back something to AFB, for the support we receive. BMC representatives made 70 visits across the State. The Council registered the Tilly Aston Rhododendron as a lasting way of acknowledging the work of our founder. 19/9/1997 The Chairman welcomed those present to the second combined meeting of the AFB and the Tilly Aston Customer Council. The Council welcomed the change in Articles and Memorandum of the Association and the formation of the Tilly Aston Customer Council which allowed all customer of the Association automatic membership and input to the monitoring of services. The care of children was a major part of Legacy work in the 1950s, many of whom would have lost their fathers in WWII. The minutes document the fostering of children by individual legatees, and their living conditions at Holmbush. It is clear that the children made do with whatever clothes could be afforded, and they were strongly encouraged to to study. Minutes of the meeting held on 3rd February 1975. Having ascertained that there was no State Government subsidy available for children's homes they reported that the proposed development of Blamey House was not viable and suggested two alternatives: moving children over 16 years of age into auxiliary accommodation, and selling Harelands and Blamey House whilst using Stanhope for co-ed accommodation. Further investigations were to be made into modifying Stanhope and to obtain occupancy figures for children under 16 years. (See Cat. No. 01692). The records of the Ringwood Croquet Club given to Gail Abbe - Archivist for safe - keeping with the request that they may be borrowed should the club require them for reference - 10-Dec-1993.Minutes of Ringwood Croquet Club from 1931 to 1947. Includes formation meeting held on 8th September 1931 at Ringwood Town Hall. The Moyoress, Mrs Honora Blood convened the meeting and occupied the chair. At that stage, the Ringwood Bowling Club had been formed. Men joined the croquet club in years to come. The Constitution was adopted with club colours blue, orange and green at a special meeting on the 6th October 1931 at the Town Hall under the presidency of Honora Blood.

Draft Minutes of a meeting held on 30/01/1974. The Steering Committee (Legatees Quale, Chair, Berg, Rodgers and Trebilcock) had been formed to look into the issue of what to do with Blamey House, Stanhope and Harelands in light of the issues raised in a report by the Residences Review Sub-Committee (Cat.No.01674) in 1972. The Steering Committee favoured the demolition of Blamey House to build units to accommodate senior students and ultimately widows, and the eventual sale of Harelands with a transfer of residents to Stanhope. Some highlights include: 3/12/1982 the film, 'A world that is dark', which was made by AFB for television release is now available on video. 31/8/1984 the Blind members' brochure includes sections titled 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' which outlines the history, present position and the aims for the future of the AFB, 'Information about Blind Members' and Blind Members' Council', List of AFB homes and centres' and 'An invitation from Bryan Sitlington to be a Blind Member accompanied by an application form. It will be available to all visually impaired people, their family and friends, AFB staff and suitable for distribution at doctor's surgeries. 14/12/1984 it was reported 29 new Blind members were elected at the September meeting and the 1,000th member was among them. 8/6/1984 Mr John Blanch reported that the General Committee had approved, although rather reluctantly, Mr John Wilson's resignation and had appoint Mr John Cook as his successor. 13/9/1985 Mr John Blanch reported that following Mr Pat Lightfoot's resignation he had contacted Mr John Wicking to offer him the position of sighted representative on Blind Members' Council. John Wicking had been approached for role on the BMC however he was unable to attend Fridays. It was moved to move the meetings to the last Monday of the Month, after approaching John Wicking again. Council members agreed that if John Wicking took the position it would be good as would have been held by Pat Lightfoot and John Wicking, both past Presidents of AFB. Mrs Margaret Canavan and Mr Alan Cooper had been selected to attend a garden party at Government House with Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburg on Thursday March 6. It also contains the report Of the Engineer-In-Chief of Railways, and reply of the Chief Engineer of Water Supply on the works constructed by the Victorian Water Supply Department, presented to both houses of parliament by His Excellency’s command. Ferdinand M. Krause, was a lecturer at the Ballarat School of Mines in Geology Mineralogy Mining Engineering and Surveying. He was a Fellow of the Geological Society and a Fellow of the Linnian Society. He was assistant engineer for the Ballaarat and Ballarat East Water Supply Committee and helped plan local reservoirs.A brown cloth hard cover, foolscap book with leather spine. Title is written in black on the title page. "Water Supply Reports" is engraved in gold on spine. It includes a table showing the monthly and yearly rainfall and shade temperature at Ballarat, 2nd February, 1885. It also includes two reports and two replies, a map No.7082.2 of Victorian Water Supply, Castlemaine and Sandhurst district general plan including lines of Aqueduct, Reservoirs. No. 7082.3 of Victorian Mining districts, Mining Divisions and The Gold Fields in 1866 - includes districts to be supplied under the Waterworks Act, 1965. Whose main goal is establish a World Standard Digital Talking Book System for people who are blind and vision impaired. 1/4/1997 it was reported there are now 6 agencies including RBS comprising the Australia & New Zealand Group, as member of the DAISY consortium. Minutes of the meeting held on 28th February 1975 which updated the information in Cat. No. 01693. Red Cross, which owned Stanhope and leased it to Melbourne Legacy, had been approached to consider Legacy's request to modify the residence. The numbers of children 16 years and under had averaged 35-40 with 26 currently in residence. The Committee now proposed that Harelands should be sold and Stanhope should become co-ed and modified to accommodate 40 children. Chairman Legatee Quayle undertook to ring other Committee members for their approval to pass these recommendations to the Junior Legacy Club. Regular and annual minutes of the East Ringwood Progress Association from 2 May 1960 to 20 November 1961. The Nov 1961 meeting discussed the longevity of the Association and formed a sub-Committee to investigate. The Association was having extreme difficulty in attracting members and the valuable work, that it did in the past, had generally been completed, with the Council taking over any outstanding work. The final meeting was convened 20 months later and it was passed that the East Ringwood Progress Association be wound up and disbanded. The accrued funds would given to the East Ringwood Children's Library (see cheque butt) and the other assets to the East Ringwood Community Centre.

Minutes of the Second Meeting of the Committee held on 1 May 1957, which discussed the report tendered by Legatee Gillespie (00716) and confirmed W.B. Russell as the author of the biography.
