Victorian Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (VIOSH) Australia is the Asia-Pacific centre for teaching and research in occupational health and safety (OHS) and is known as one of Australia's leaders in the field. The University of Ballarat established Australia's first tertiary course in OH&S in 1979. University of Ballarat became Federation University in 2014. Federation University VIOSH Australia students are safety managers, senior advisors and experienced OHS professionals. They come from all over Australia and industry. Standard Australian Department of Defence issue khaki fur felt slouch hat as worn by Army personnel. The hat brim has a bound edge finish and one side of the brim is folded against the hat crown. A small souvenir model of the Australian Army 'slouch hat' complete with folded brim to one side and the 'rising sun' hat badge. The model was presumably stamped from thin Copper plate. The impression of the hat badge is similar to the 1949 'fourth pattern' Australian Military Forces badge with the King's Crown. -

RAN Badge, Royal Australian Navy WW1 Female Relatives Badge
One of 2 types of badges issued to female relatives, this one being a round rather than an oval one. It is in good condition, no parts missing although it has not been cleaned or polished in some time. The badge has the Royal Crown at the top of a blue enamelled stirling silver circle . Underneath and attached to the circle is a blue enamelled horizontal stirling silver banner with 2 eyelets at either end of the banner. In the centre of the circle is an anchor with a chain entwined around it.
