Photocopies of old photos from John McPhee of Conron Grange, Whittlesea. Conron Grange was established by Robert and Mary Ann Armstrong in 1855 as part of the Wills Estate, they were tenant farmers to Wills, Mary Ann named the first house Conron Grange meaning "Pretty place with full barns". Robert was killed falling from a horse in 1863 leaving Mary-Ann with children aged 7, 5, 3, 2, and a baby aged 8 weeks. Mary Ann married James Johnston in 1867. Conron Grange remained in the Johnston family until 1938 when John McPhee's parents bought it, it then remained in the McPhee name until John sold it in 2003. Features Miss Winifred Gurr of the Queenscliff office, as the Good Fairy, Electricity at the Geelong Centenary Celebrations. Has the SEC logo or motif on the top of the cover. 2971.2 - Photocopy of an article in the State Electricity Commission of Victoria Magazine, Contact, Vol 3, No. 3, Nov. 1938 titled "The Development of Ballarat's Electricity Supply". One A3 sheet and one A4 sheet. The article details the SEC's part in the celebration of Geelong's Centenary Celebrations in October 1938. Opened by Mayor, Alderman C. N. Brown. Details the lighting needs for the celebrations, 400kW, the large motor traffic who came to see them, damage due to Gales, public buildings illuminated and the procession. Includes details of the decorated trams - 1500 paper floors and 400 lamps. Has photos of Moorabool St, a decorated Pengelly tram and Power Station. On page 4 is a letter from an American visitor, Dorothy Bradner congratulating the tramways. Record revised 3/4/2019 to add digital images with those from Andrew Cook CD. Images added of pages 22 and 37 Page 22 - image 12 - titled "The Provincial Big Three" - photos of the Managers of the Ballarat, Geelong and Bendigo Regions - Mr. T. A. Farr, Mr. H.N. Hornabrook and T.H. McNaught. Page 37 - image 11 - Staff movements of General Interest - records the retirement of W. White Tramways Inspector Geelong, and appointments - W. J. McKinnon appointed as Tramway Inspector and Mr. C. S. Ball, appointed Senior Traffic Inspector. 2944.1 - A4 size sheet of white paper, printed up as a BTPS (BTM) conductor's Revenue Journal for Adults fares as $1.50c, Children $0.80 and all day cards $3.00. Standard BTPS Revenue Journal format that was altered as necessary for the various fares. Known as form T2. Form titled for the "Ballarat Tramways" and has been used on Sunday 29/12/1991 by Andrew Mitchell. Gives the opening and closing numbers, total number issued, pay in values and total cash. Signed by A. Mitchell. 2944.2 - ditto, completed by Austin Brehaut on 15/1/1991, when fares were Adult $1, children 50c and All Day cards - $2.00. 2944.3 - ditto on green paper, completed by P. Mong 9/3/1997, when fares were $1.50 for Adults, 80c for Children and $3.00 for All Day cards. Specially printed for the 1997 Begonia Festival with addition of 50c and 30c check or ticket values. 2944.4 - A5 version dated 6/10/ 1996, completed by Clayton Giles. Yields information about the appearance through a drawing of Sturt St in the mid 1920's and yields information about the manufacture of china dishes with images in the bowl of the dish.White china dish, fluted sides, with a gold rim, flat base with a transferred image of Sturt St from Grenville St early 1920's with an ESCo tram arriving at the Grenville St terminus and two other trams in the view. Looks west along Sturt St. One of a series of dishes made for R.
