Gives the design details of the device or fitting known as a trolley wire ear that holds a tramway copper trolley wire in position. Notes that the drawing was traced in 1958 from a MMTB drawing.Yields information about the design of trolley wire fittings and how they were fabricated. Interesting that the drawing is dated 15-8-1958, given that on 1-3-1958 the last street tramways operated by the Victorian Railways closed. Stuck in behind all this statistical data are flyers advertising functions and events at the Mission.This ledger outlines the people involved in decision making at the Victorian Seamen's Mission in the late 19th C , the forerunner to Mission to Seafarers and 10 years prior to amalgamation with the group led by Rev'd. Alfred Gurney-Goldsmith. George Rogers was the brother of the donor and the son of Dorothy Rogers.This work forms part of the collection assembled by the historian Dorothy Rogers, that was donated to the Kew Historical Society by her son John Rogers in 2015. The manuscripts, photographs, maps, and documents were sourced by her from both family and local collections or produced as references for her print publications. Many were directly used by Rogers in writing ‘Lovely Old Homes of Kew’ (1961) and 'A History of Kew' (1973), or the numerous articles on local history that she produced for suburban newspapers. Most of the photographs in the collection include detailed annotations in her hand. The Rogers Collection provides a comprehensive insight into the working habits of a historian in the 1960s and 1970s.
