Made by internees and given to Monte Punshon as a gift. Monte was an Australian warden who had oversight of the women and children in one of the compounds. Award - Gold Key and case
Gold key to the city of Hyogo prefecture presented to Monte Punshon with the compliments of the Governor of Hyogo Prefecture at Heimeji near Kobe, Japan in 1980. Further description of blossoms of Prefecture flower "Nojigiku" is given on "with compliments" card. Both contained in a red and white material covered display box.Gold coloured key with a combination of blossoms (white and gold). The prefecture flag (blue and white) attached to a white ribbon with red along the edges. Displayed in a red covered case with white interior and includes a cream card with picture of daisies on the front.
