But the "2" between the destination and route number boxes on bus tells us its after November 1970. Used to hold the ticket records or trip journals of a conductor. Stamped initially for use by the St Kilda - Ackland St. cable tram depot, no. 198. Also has number 144, letter R, letter A. Possibly made when the MMTB introduced paper tickets onto the cable trams. See item 8349 for another example.
