Small statuette of a World War 1 ALH (Australian Light Horse) Officer presumably made of pewter, mounted on a marble base. The base has a small replica version of the Australian 'rising sun' badge, the badge is similar to the 'kings crown' version worn during World War 1. -

Membership
Framed collection of items relating to the life membership of General Sir Dallas Brooks awarded by the Frankston Returned Sailors, Soldiers & Airmen's Club dated 18th April, 1964. The frame contains the following items: a Life Membership card, a 'gold' key to the Frankston club, a RSS&A members badge of the day and an engraved label with a description of the presentation items. Sir Dallas Brooks was Governor of Victoria from the 18th October 1949 to the 7th May 1963. He and his wife retired to Frankston to live, he died in Frankston on the 22nd of March 1966 (aged 69). -

Souvenir, Letter Opener, unknown
A souvenir paper knife made from a piece of wood salvaged from HMS WARSPITE. This is fashioned form a piece of wood and is in the shape of a paper envelope opener, it has a small brass label attached to one surface. Presumably this was recovered from the HMS Warspite which was commissioned in 1913 and served until 1945.This item has a label attached, the label is inscribed "From the TEAK of H.M.S. There are three leather loops inside the container for storing the contents. Medallion
A medallion presented to Private A. C. Wilson by the residents of Broadford, Victoria. These medallions were presented to local men who had enlisted for service as they returned from World War 1 in December 1919. The medallion is made of gold (9 carat) and has an olive wreath around the circumference. A small loop is provided to attach the medallion to a chain or similar. In this case the medallion is attached to a fob watch chain commonly worn by men when dressed formally. The chain is also made of gold. -

These implements were included with standard field ration packs and are made of plated metal featuring a small hinged cutter attached to the main body. These were commonly called a Field Ration Opening Device (FRED) by defence personnel.The body is stamped with the standard Department of Defence symbol: "/|\" . -

Pocket book size with buff grey linen hardcover imprinted with black lettering. Example of the New Testament that was presented to members of the Victorian Contingent of the Australian Imperial Force during World War 1. The inside front cover has a label insert with a printed message "Printed by the British and Foreign Bible Society and signed Fred G Barley, Gen Sec. Melbourne 1916". The opening pages have a blue stamped imprint with the following inscription "Presbyterian Soldiers' Institute Royal Park Camp" in an oval shaped border. Book published by the British and Foreign Bible Society, 146 Queen Victoria Street, London. The front cover has the following inscription in black print, "NEW TESTAMENT".
