Sidney Victor Long No 1580 from Bendigo first enlisted in WA in the 3rd reinforcements 11th Batt AIF on 12.11.14. Embarked for Eygpt on 22.2.15 then to Gallipoli on 7.5.15, WIA on 6.8.15 GSW to the neck, returned to Australia for discharge with the recommendation he was permanently unfit on 17.9.15. He re enlisted in Bendigo No 5715 in 18th reinforcements to the 8th Batt AIF on 4.3.16 age 30 years 9 months writing a letter to say he was perfectly fit.
