From its beginnings in 1958, the Society has mounted exhibitions and/or displays, in early days in shop window and in community spaces located in the Kew City Hall (later Kew Library), and since 2010 at the Kew Court House. Exhibitions typically coincided with the annual Kew Community Festival in March, but after 2013 evolved into three new exhibitions yearly at the Kew Court House. Smaller displays continue to be mounted in the Kew Library. A local cricket team was initiated in 1951- 2 teams Bogong and Mt Beauty. In 1958 these two teams joined the Ovens Valley Cricket Association and were renamed Mt Beauty 1sts and 2nds. In 1963, the 2nds were renamed the Mt Beauty Rovers and played in the Ovens and Kiewa Cricket Association. In 1979 the cricket club was known as Mount Beauty United. This was one of only sixteen buildings of this type built across Australia and it housed radio communications and guidance equipment. The building and its equipment were part of a comprehensive system of radio towers, signalling and meteorology equipment aimed at providing safer navigation for aircraft travelling throughout Australia. This is a set of 15 black & white photographs of troops from the Army Headquarters Survey Regiment, Fortuna, Bendigo undertaking ceremonial drill at a military funeral held in Harcourt circa 1960s. As a senior officer of field rank (Colonel or above) led the funeral procession, it is presumed the unknown deceased soldier was also a highly ranked field officer. It is presumed the location of the burial was Harcourt in central Victoria, based on the inscription on the pillar at the entrance to the cemetery.
