... & Flanders, Bendigo Historic Buildings, 1987, the date of the house... & Flanders, Bendigo Historic Buildings, 1987, the date of the house ...Adelaide Vale Homestead was begun in 1853 by John Harvey and was later occupied by Edward and Andrew O'Keefe. The building comprises a series of single storey stone buildings arranged behind a simple composed, verandah facade with a centrally located doorway flanked by windows. A central corridor leads from this doorway to a transverse corridor which was probably once an open breezeway. A free- standing octagonal pavilion is located close to the house. This is an interesting homestead dating from early times and constructed of local stone. The front facade is typically composed and the plan reflects the continuous growth of the property throughout the nineteenth century. The octagonal pavillion is a significant and unusual feature. The homestead is picturesquely sited and overlooks the Campaspe River valley, the Burke and Wills expedition camped nearby on their ill-fated expedition north. The old cheese factory is the sole survivor of the once extensive out-buildings. Some of the nineteenth century buildings have been demolished and there have been some later additions and alterations, notably an extensive side wing added in the 1920's. [In Butcher & Flanders, Bendigo Historic Buildings, 1987, the date of the house is given as 1868. Davies AM, ADC on the 23rd and 24th of October 1989. In this set BRIG P. Davies AM, ADC was taken on a tour through the orthophoto production area. In photos .1P to .3P and .6P BRIG P. Davies AM, ADC presented a productivity award to CO LTCOL John Winzar in Fortuna’s Ballroom. LTCOL Winzar was the CO of the Army Survey Regiment from 1987 to 1989. The WILD OR1 orthophoto projector and workstation featuring in photos .7P to.10P and .12P to .14P was introduced in the mid-1980s. It was the second-generation equipment used to orthorectify colour and monochrome film aerial photography, replacing the system introduced in 1973. See items 6124.5P, 6133.4P and 6228.4P for more photographs of orthorectification equipment. Photos .15P and .16P feature contractors preparing the foundations for the construction of Lithographic Squadron’s new Printing Building at Fortuna, Bendigo. The building was purpose built to house a new computer-controlled Heidelberg Speedmaster five colour lithographic offset Printing Press. The print room was named Wayzgoose Hall after a medieval printing house festival. See item 6131.18P for more photographs of contractors preparing the foundations. The old ...The centre Timbers under the glass tops came from the old Passchendaele Barracks building in Mollison Street Bendigo. The old building dated back to 1916. The building Depot was closed down and dismantled with the unit based there moved out to the new “Multi User Depot in Junortoun”. The tables were made in Bendigo and placed in the new Meeting Room of the Bendigo District RSL in Havilah Road which was named “Kokoda Room”. In another round of renovations to the Club the two tables were placed in the Soldier's Memorial Museum Pall Mall now Bendigo Military Museum. One was placed in the old Meeting room which at that time was part of the Museum, the second was placed in the old kitchen which had been converted into an BDRSL Office. With more renovations the two tables were returned to the Bendigo District RSL in a new meeting room. The two computer insets for cabling was then put into the tables. .1) .2) Two tables solid construction brown stain colour, the top has in inset of Timbers narrow a lighter brown stain laying across the width dimension, a glass top sits over these Timbers level with the heavy outside frame. Each table has an inset centre to accomodate computer cabling. With the completion of the new school's buildings, it moved to Golden Square in 1962, providing for Forms 1 to 6, now known as years 7 to 12. In 1978 it became a 7–10 school and was one of the original feeder schools to Bendigo Senior High School. In 1986, a Hearing Impaired Unit was established and in 1990 it underwent a name change to become Golden Square Secondary College. The Golden Square Secondary College campus closed on 28 November 2008. It merged with Kangaroo Flat and Flora Hill secondary colleges as part of the implementation of the Bendigo Education Plan. The green blazer has one upper and two lower pockets, each lined at the top with a strip of gold fabric with diagonal red stripes and a row of red stitching bordering the strip. The top pocket shows the school emblem i colours of green, gold, red and white in square and rectangular block formation. "High School" is written in gold against a white background at the top of the emblem and "Golden Square" is embroidered in part circle below the emblem. The name is dark gold against a fainter gold background. The Blazer is fastened with three buttons. Only one button remains attached. Another button is in a pocket. A label under the collar reads "Tailored by Clark in Pure wool' "Size 34". Two badges are pinned to the top pocket. "PREFECT" . Reflecting the school colours - gold lettering on red on a green rectangle set against a gold oval shape. "S.R.C." Gold lettering on green background.Written on the label "K Jeffrey 7G". Also written in pen on the lining inside of the upper arm. There is also another crossed out name.gssc, school uniform -
