The Wonga Park and District Residents' Association requested the Shire of Lillydale consider removing the crests on Jumping Creek Road Wonga Park east and west of the intersection with Yarra and Dudley Roads to improve visibility at the intersection. The Shire of Lillydale thought that this would simply increase the speed of traffic through the intersection and suggested a roundabout be built and came up with four alternative treatments. When they discovered that a roundabout would require water mains to be lowered and the M&MBW would not give a quote on the cost (which would be substantial) they opted for traffic islands instead.

This photo is another view of the brick Ticket Box (58.1) on the right side of main gates and next to the former Dane House. In 1999 the house was owned by Stawell City Council and used as the Community Neighborhood House. It was demolished some years ago. The State Revenue Office (SRO) is a $5 million world-class purpose built revenue collection facility employing over 200 people. SRO relocated 40% of its operations from Melbourne to the Ballarat Technology Park, creating more than 180 employment opportunities for skilled people from the region. The Ballarat facility houses the majority of the SRO's operations capability and utilises state-of-the-art technology. The BTP was selected to host the SRO after a feasibility study revealed that Ballarat was an ideal regional centre to support this important government function. The BTP enables the SRO to be in close proximity to an existing cluster of technology based enterprises and organisations, as well as education, training and research opportunities presented to SRO staff at the nearby Federation University. Subdivision plans are historically important documents used as evidence of the growth of suburbs in Australia. They frequently provide information about when the land was sold on which a built structure was subsequently constructed as well as evidence relating to surveyors and real estate and financial agents. The numerous subdivision plans in the Kew Historical Society's collection represent working documents, ranging from the initial sketches made in planning a subdivision to printed plans on which auctioneers or agents listed the prices for which individual lots were sold. In a number of cases, the reverse of a subdivision plan in the collection includes a photograph of a house that was also for sale by the agent. These photographs provide significant heritage information relating house design and decoration, fencing and household gardens.Version 1 of two subdivision plans (the later one is MAP.0027) for the section of Studley Park Road near the Junction on the south side. Named in the subdivision are the mansions of Darley and Windella (now demolished). Before the subdivision of Darley and Windella, both houses fronted Studley Park Road. Both houses appear to be advertised as lots in the subdivision. Bisecting the subdivision is a street, Antrim Avenue that was never constructed. A street, which was subsequently constructed in this vicinity, was Merrion Place, which now runs between Studley Park Road and Highfield Grove.
