Hans Walter von Gruenewaldt was a German POW who used his artistic ability to paint several large mural caricatures while he was held at Camp 13 at Murchison. The technique he used was colourful house paint, painted directly onto the walls of the German mess hut, reading room and recreation hall in compound 13D. Helene Moll was an internee in Camp 3 and was a midwifery sister at Finschafen Lutheran Mission NG and at the camp hospital. Photograph is of her with 6 children she helped deliver. An AWAS clerk in garrison office retrieved these identification photos of the officers and batmen at Dhurringile POW camp after the 1945 breakout. All the identification signs had been maliciously swapped by the men to mislead the photographers records. Prisoner pwcm41297 identified as Walter Haug in Jan 1999. Wax mould from which bronze bust of Sir Macfarlane Burnet was cast. The bronze bust is located on a plinth outside the Traralgon Court House in Franklin Street and was commissioned by Latrobe City to celebrate the centenary of Sir Macfarlane Burnet's birth.Mac Burnet attended Traralgon State School, and went on to become Director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and share the Nobel Prize for Medicine with Peter Medawar of London University.Wax model by artist Glen Davies

The tri-colour flag with the emblem of the former Royal House of Savoy was the first national flag and lasted for 85 years until the birth of the Italian Republic in 1946. Soldiers' inscriptions on the flag suggest that it was capture from Italian troops during the Battle of El Alamein on 9 July 1942. Three two-piece hoist ties on the green side. Panels are sewn together from separate pieces of fabric. The shield appears to have been printed directly onto the white panel. The edges are hemmed.There are several handwritten inscriptions on the coat of arms in red and blue/black ink detailing the name and service numbers of different soldiers.
