Newspaper clipping from the Geelong Advertiser? dated 5-3-1956, titled "Buses take over North Route" about the last tram running on the Sunday night and buses taking over Monday (item written it would appear for the Tuesday paper). Gives bus passenger numbers and bus numbers for the evening peak on Monday, quotes Mr. F. P. Mountjoy of the Transport Regulation Board who visited Geelong. Last paragraph notes that some Belmont trams will run to the railway station to connect with the "important" trains from Melbourne, until the closure of the Belmont service on March 25.
