The bluestone bridge which spans the Jacksons Creek was built in 1857 and replaced a laminated timber bridge. In the 1970s the bluestone bridge over Jackson's Creek ceased to be used and a wider bridge was constructed to its north. The original photo is part of an album taken by W.Walls, the front page of which is inscribed "The Hill/Sunbury/April 1897". Whilst most of the photos relate to the environs of the asylum, there are others taken around Sunbury and elsewhere. The original album is held as part of the Mental health Collection. A booklet of a list of excursions that was arranged for the visiting members of the British Association for Advancement of Science which included Marysville. These excursions were conducted in August 1914. They included geological excursions as well as excursions to local attractions to observe the flora and fauna found in and around the various destinations. The excursions were to Bacchus Marsh, Marysville, Warburton and Cement Creek, the Macedon District, Emerald, Ballarat and the local district, Bendigo and surrounds, Wilson's Promontory, and the Central Research Farm at Werribee. The property is Craiglee, which was one of the first vineyards established in Sunbury in 1865 by Stuart Johnson. It is sited on the east bank of Jackson Creek and fronts onto Macedon Street. The Sunbury Tip was transferred from the end of Reservoir Road as housing development spread in that area to a site on the NW side of Mt. The photograph of the waterfall tumbling over rocks in the Jacksons Creek are a feature downstream from the Macedon Street bridge and Craiglee when the there has been high rainfall.
