Typed and hand written notes on 'Gold Rushes around Bendigo', Eaglehawk Police Station, Bells In and Around Bendigo, Bendigo Historical Society Newsletter, Mr Henry Jones - Gold Buyer, and Sir John Quick. Gold Rushes Around Bendigo tells of some gold finds around Bendigo. Eaglehawk Police Station tells of the Building of the Log Lockups at Eaglehawk and White Hills and where the idea came from. Also the cost of building and source of logs. Bells In and Around Bendigo tell of a tram employee ringing a bell and shouting to all that the tram terminus at the Railway Station was discontinued. When this was sufficiently known the bell went to the Bridge Street Methodist Church. The BHS Newsletter mentions business men's names and connection with their trade. Mr Henry jones - Gold Buyer mentions where his office was and that you could buy gold and money could be exchanged as well. Australia Day 1978 Melbourne had the biggest collection of historic vehicles seen in this country. There were electric and horse drawn trams, steam trains, veteran and vintage cars and even a fly past of old flying machines. Officially the occasion marked the unveiling of Harold Freeman's giant mural at Spencer Street Station depicting a century of transportation in Australia. Another paragraph refers to the horse trough referred to in E - C - 3 and research by Amy Bunker into the story of George Bills. Set of 9 Agfa blue and white plastic mount slides of the relocation of No. 31 from the SEC Ballarat Depot the SEC Ballarat B Power station yard - 6/10/1971 - See Reg Item 3929 for list of dates of tram disposal. .1 - a mobile crane moving equipment around the depot Wendouree Parade. .2 - No. 31 loaded onto a truck departing the depot. Note that the 21 E truck is not fitted to the tram. .3 - ditto .4 - ditto in Wendouree Parade .5 - arriving at the SEC B Power Station yard. .6 - tram jacked up with the flat bed low loader being moved out from the tram. .7 - tram being lowered to the ground .8 - ditto showing the one end with broken windows. .9 - tram arriving at the B Power station with the station in the background. Davis .3 - tram being driven into Wendouree Parade. .4 - ditto .5 - turning from Macarthur St into Drummond St south with a SEC bucket truck following. .6 - ditto - with the Lisette Beauty Salon on the corner. .7 - Drummond St North .8 - Coupling a SEC tractor to the tram with the Ballarat Base Hospital in the background. .9 - Ditto with S.
