The 'Cancellation of Registration of the Melbourne District Nursing Society and After Care Hospital' was approved by the Hospital and Charities Commission on the 1st of September 1958.The Melbourne District Nursing Society was founded in February 1885 and in 1926 opened the After-Care Home. The name of the Society then became the Melbourne District Nursing Society and After-Care Home until 1935 when the word 'Home' was replaced with the word 'Hospital'. In 1957 the two bodies separated and the 'Incorporation of Melbourne District Nursing Service' occurred on the 5th of March 1957. The 'Cancellation of Registration of the Melbourne District Nursing Society and After Care Hospital' was approved by the Hospital and Charities Commission on the 1st of September 1958.Black and white Hospital and Charities document - 'Cancellation of Registration of the Melbourne District Nursing Society and After Care Hospital'. The document is bold black printing on a white background. It commences 'Hospital and Charities Act 1948 (No. 5300); follows are the names of those present being the Lieutenant Governor of Victoria and four other men. The body of the document contains thirteen lines and finishes with ‘A. Portable blood pressure machine with case. Device consists of an arm cuff with a tube, rubber pressure bulb and gauge. The arm cuff is made of a khaki green material, with attached velcro and an attached label that reads 'KATCH/KUFF'. Tubing and pressure bulb are made of green rubber. The pressure gauge indicates that this device is made in Germany. Case is made of black leather and the inside of thh case is reinforced with cream plastic. -

This envelope was found loose in the first of three albums compiled and owned by J W Allen, Secretary of New South Wales Grazier's, and is associated with the New South Wales Graziers Association world tour of sheep 1928-1929. The album contains photographs of travel, sheep, farms, stations, people and landscapes from around the world. Locations include Naples, Port Said, Suez, Birregurra (Vic), Alexandra (Vic), Ballangeich (Vic), Keith (SA), Mt Gambier (SA), Buckland Park (SA), Tasmania, Winton (QLD), Sydney Harbour, Canberra (ACT), Toowoomba (QLD), Rockhampton (QLD), Tocal (NSW), Deepwater (NSW), Glen Innes (NSW), Longreach (QLD), Moree (NSW), Barraba (NSW) and Mudgee (NSW). Properties depicted include Mooleric, Turkeith, Woolongoon, Minadale, Crower Station, Merrindie, Koomooloo Station, Cappeedee, Koonoona, Rathmore, Ellenthorpe, Camden Park Station, Glenlegh, Strathmore Station, Ilparran Station, Binneguy, Midkin, Terlings, Ashley, Bereen, Plumthorpe, Mayvale and Havilah. The album was found in a clean out at the Great Southern Agricultural Research Institute and donated to the National Wool Museum, along with other related material such as photographs, glass lantern slides and ephemera.Printed paper fold out envelope featuring a blue image and text on the front, showing a woman holding a camera. Spitfire was painted originally by Barrie Clark. Born in 1943 he was a painter and Biographer. He is currently 77 years of age and still actively working. Supermarine Spitfires were responsible for many victories in the air - war with Germany during World War 11. They were a powerful and very maneuverable aircraft. The Rolls Royce "Merlin" engines - a V12 engine of some 1440 horse power were used to propel the aircraft.Spitfire model V B.Spitfire armament consisted of 8 - 303 in calibre machine guns,4 20 mm cannon,also a pair of 50mm Browning machine guns.
