Clunes Horticultural Society was established in Clunes during the 1980's to encourage interest and involvement in growing all types of vegetation. Dudley Irwin was the local Liberal Party Politician in the 1950'sThis Trophy was named after Dudley Erwin, a long term resident of Clunes who inaugurated the CHS.
