Set of four Black and White photograph of recovery equipment for tramcars. Two prints of each except - .4 .1 - steel beam shown in position in the saloon portion of a tram used to secure a bogie to the body of tram with steel section over transom and showing lifting hooks and securing or lifting bolts. Shown in position where the tramcar body floor was above that of the tramcar transom. .2 - ditto, but on an angle in a wide body tram where the top of the transom matched the top of the floor. The bogies are on an angle. .3 - brackets in position for securing the body spring on the truck fitted to tram 980 to the body of the tram. .4 - brackets shown stored inside the cabin of the tram. Metal based match box holder, formed from tin plated steel sheet, folded around all edges to include a printed plastic cover marked "Souvenir of Wattle Park, Melbourne Vic.", including on the sides an image of the Chalet and on reverse, contact phone number (WX1322), and what the venue would cater for. Has a note that is was open on Sundays and Holidays as well. Not known when made or used or who by. Phone numbers with alphanumeric numbers phased out during the late 1950's. Black and white photograph of the area where the works or service or scrubber trams were parked at South Melbourne Depot. Has offices and shed in the background along with the depot water tank. Photo taken in the late 1950's early 1960's. In the view are No. 8 (later 8W), 10 (later 10W) and possibly No. 7 (later 7W) - cannot see the number but the photo matches that of the tram on page 76 of Destination City - 5th Edition) Printed on Fujichrome paper.
