The Parfett family regularly holidayed in the Halls Gap area c1920sRectangular black & white photograph in a thin wooden frame with gold edging. A party of 8 people grouped on a large rock in front of a waterfall. 3 men, standing, the first has a cigarette in his mouth and holds a hat, the second holds a hiking pole; 3 women, the third has her arm raised with her hand on the back of her head; and 2 youths, the bigger wears braces and sits at the front of the rock, feet crossed, hands in his lap. The Rock has letters B.P and t E (?) painted on it. Uniform - Peaked Blues Cap from the 58th/32nd Battalion (The Melbourne Rifles) 1948-1955
58th/32nd Battalion (The Melbourne Rifles) 1948-1955 was an Infantry Battalion from Melbourne Australia. It became the 58th/32nd Battalion (The City of Essendon Regiment) 1955-1960 before becoming part of the Royal Victoria Regiment in 1960 and today its customs and traditions are preserved by the 5th/6th Battalion, the Royal Victoria Regiment. Before 1948 it had been two separate regiments; the 58th Infantry Battalion (The Essendon Rifles) and the 32nd Infantry Battalion (The Footscray Regiment). Peaked Blues Cap from the 58th/32nd Battalion (The Melbourne Rifles) 1948-1955 fitted with the gilt brass badge of the regiment. The Linton Methodist Church held its Jubilee at Easter 1910. This was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the church in Linton. After a day of church services on Easter Sunday, a party "numbering about thirty" went on Easter Monday on an outing to Flagstaff Hill.
