Black and white negative, by Wal Jack, of PCC 980, northbound bound in Glenferrie Road at High Street with the destination of Kew Cotham Road. The Bank was replaced by a more modern looking building during the 1970's. In the background is the ES&A bank on the corner. Jane Nigro advised 9/9/2020: "1907 Photo of the E. S. & A. Bank on the corner of High Street and Glenferrie Road, Malvern. In 1885 land on corner of Glenferrie Road & High St. (40' x 150') was purchased by E.S. & A. Bank. A condition of sale was that the bank erect on the land a 'substantial brick building to be used as a branch bank', within 24 months. The E.S. & A. Bank, single-storey four roomed brick, was built in 1888. The first manager was Frederick Leonard. In 1907 a second storey, including residential quarters for the manager, was added to bank at a cost of £1400.The Bank was demolished in 1958-9and replaced with present building."trams, tramways, pcc class, glenferrie road, route 69, kew- cotham rd, tram 980 -

Set of six documents issued to participants of the "The Z-class Ruby Jubilee Tour", Saturday 14/11/2015 operated by Yarra Trams, John Whiting and Melbourne Tram Museum. All have a "Z1 & Z2 Class Ruby Jubilee Tour - 40 years" stamp on them. .1 - Tour booklet 8 pages - A5 when folded - with Z101 on the cover, giving a brief history, photos of Z class trams through the years, technical details, Z class trams in preservation and acknowledgements. .2 - A4 sheet "I was on board the tour" with photos of Z1 22 and Z2 101 along with logos of the MMTB, MTA. Brown cloth covered bound book, 124 pages, plus printed end sheets used in covers, titled "MMTB Electric Tramways and Motor Omnibuses Sections and Fares", dated September 1958, authorised by B. H. Misson Traffic Manger. Book consists of four sections, bound with sewn cloth binding on the outside with glued white paper end covers. September 1958, Details the various section stages and fares for each tram and bus route, General instructions, concession fares and has photos or drawings of the various special tickets, eg passes or prepaid tickets. Copy 1 - page 40 correction has been glued in upside down as has been "28 Change" on page 123. Copy 2 - page 40 - fares corrected by hand, "28 Change" glue in correctly. Newspaper clipping titled: “Smash – right in the middle” The Sun, Thursday, March 21, 1968 The Herald, The Age Photos and text Flinders and Swanston Streets 25 people taken to hospital, St Vincent's, Royal Melbourne, Prince Henry's Accident happened about 12:30 pm when west-bound Flinders St tram crashed into north-bound city tram in Swanston St “Driver out before crash” The Age, Thursday, March 21, 1968 Photos and text Flinders and Swanston Sts Driver, Mr John Middlemo, was knocked semi-conscious two blocks before the collision. He struck his head when a car pulled out in front of him at Exhibition Street. Risson said it was worst accident he had seen in 40 years. Appoints 5 man inquiry committee Tram W2 304 (City Route 6) was crossing Flinders Street when it was hit by tram W2 559 (Spencer St route 28) which failed to stop at the red light.
