The 30mm cartridge was used in British ADEN aerial machine guns. Introduced in the UK in 1954. The ADEN 30mm guns were used in Australian C.A.C.SABRE fighter jets between 1953 and 1965. The A/P variant shell had a muzzle velocity of 2610 feet/sec. There were two ADEN M/Gs on a C.A.C. SABRE..1) 30mm Projectile. This has an aluminium nose cone.
