Negative No. N379 and black and white print made by a laser printer (stored in folder) of Ballarat No. 21 at the City terminus, with Gardens via Sturt St. West destination. Tram has been painted with tiger strips on bumper bar and under destination box, and a white stripe painted over the car under number under the windscreen. The Melbourne Tramways and Omnibus Company (MTOC) operated a horse tram from the Victoria Bridge cable tram terminus to Boroondara General (Kew) Cemetery from 28 December 1887. May Coles (1915 - 2007) worked for more than 25 years at the exclusive Georges store in Collins St. May lived nearby the West Preston tram terminus and caught the tram to work. The work was commissioned by May to recall those special years of her work at Georges.
