Postcard, a B&W Vincent Kelly photo of a residence called "Cwmciofran" in Bendigo. A gravel path leads through a rose arbour up to the house, garden bed on left and lawn on right. On the back the PC is addressed to Mrs Randal, City Family Hotel, Bendigo with the message 'I wish you a happy Xmas and bright New Year.' Senders signature not decipherable. Vincent Kelly (1877-1958) was a photographer in Mitchell Street, operating from 1904 until his death in 1958. As well as general photography he was renowned for war-time portraits of soldiers. A sketch of his photograph of underground miners was used on the reverse side of the 1913 1 pound note.Nameplate from Vincent Kelly Photographers, Bendigo.
