Multi pocket burgundy coloured spiral binder containing 34 pages of the property history, subdivisions, land titles and photographs of the house, compiled by Richard Carter pre-auction 9 September 2006. Includes architectural descriptions of "Cherry Hill" from original allotment in 1872 to 2006. Also history of well known residents who lived in it.

State Government agencies have joined local government to oppose lan developers' plans to subdivide an untouched pat of the Yarra. The subdivision involves 565 hectares (Yarra Brae and Stane Brae) and more than 16 kms of bush river frontage at Wonga Park in Lillydale Shire

Boxes of fruit were labelled so that buyers knew who grew the fruit, the size of the fruit and the area where it was grown.Cardboard Labelled with Orchardists name and type of fruit. Label printed with " Grown and Packed by R. & J.M.Hooper, Wonga Park". Fruit being Peaches. Grade being Fancy also had Count for the number of Peaches and a Date.

In this talk, Peter presents an example of his research, covering the house and property now known as 64 Wonga Road, which has a long and interesting history dating back to the early days of orcharding in the district.

The allotment history for Crown allotment 9A Wonga Park (after Crown leases from 1893) starts in 1906 with the Crown granting 46 acres and 6 perches to Thomas Shaw, an iron worker in Collingwood.
