Martha (nee Course) and Arthur Edwards married at Forest Hill in 1899. They lived in Husband Road, Forest Hill, first with Martha's father, then in a house built by Arthur in 1910. The first Post Mistress and Storekeeper was Catherine Peacock. The Building was located at259 Canterbury Road and was demolished in1950. Archibold McArthur originally owned 6 acres and produced flowers which were sold at the Victoria Market, and vegetables which were sold at a roadside stall outside his property in Canterbury Road , Forest Hill.Eastside Plants established a plant nursery as p[art of the property in 1979 and later added 'Archies Cafe' in 1987.
