James Nesbitt was an accomplice and companion of Andrew George Scott, also known as Captain Moonlite. Nesbitt and Moonlite met whilst serving gaol sentences in Victoria. Many claim Nesbitt and Scott were lovers. Nesbitt was killed in a shoot out with police in 1879 after the robbery of Wantabadgery Station near Wagga Wagga and a subsequent shoot out with police. He is buried in Gundagai.
