Three copies of a Letter, dated November 5, 1936, from Sister M. Monica to Sister Mary Gonzaga, relating to her the benefits of using scalebuoys in the water to the boilers and hot water systems. It had removed scale from the pipes. The only problem they had was the scale that had fallen off blocking the traps and that soon stopped. Letter from McPherson's Limited to Messrs Bendigo Electronic Co. of Australia, dated 15 November,1950. Letter is from John Byrt, Asst. Chemist for Attention Mr. Stevenson. Cover letter states they have enclosed copies of Report No. 17355 covering 'Dezincification of Brass Wire in 'Scalebuoy' Water'. Two pieces of wire were analized. In the discussion the brittleness had resulted from dezincification,which was known to be a common type of corrosion of that material. It was recommended that different wire be used. Document, Sandhurst Club History, This is a copy of a presentation at the May meeting of the Bendigo Historical Society 2009. Just 7 years after gold was found on Bendigo Creek, five gentlemen gathered together in October/November 1858 to wine and dine and chat no doubt the challenges of living in a 'frontier' town.Their chats became regular and The Bendigo Club came into being. Note that at this stage the club used the name ''Bendigo''.The five men who met late 1858 to start a club are:VINCENT PYKE from Somerset; CRAWFORD MOLLISON from Sussex; LACHLAN MCLACHLAN from Sussex; ANDREW THUNDER from Ireland; ROBERT F. HOWARD FROM Liverpool, England. The ups and downs of gold output mirrored the starts and stops of the Club.
