Photos of Legacy Widows at a luncheon function after the Widows Sunday ceremony at the Shrine and a church. This is an annual event for Legacy widows at the start of Legacy Week, which is the first week in September. The venue is the Savoy Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne. Although from different films the ladies all have the same food so assumption is that it is the same event. Names unknown. These photograph wallets were use in the first half of the 20th century when films were sent away to be processed. Kodak used these packaging items to promote their brand. Images of women were very popular on these wallets, with the ‘Kodak Girl’ positioned by Kodak as an important mascot or symbol to suggest the ease and accessibility of photography to the masses – a symbol which drew on traditional understandings of gender roles.They are colourful reminders of a time period when people eagerly awaited the arrival of their processed prints. The most striking examples date from the 1930s and demonstrate how Kodak used these packaging items to promote their brand. . Wreath laying ceremony for widows at the Cenotaph at the Shrine of Remembrance in 2000. This is an annual event for Legacy widows at the start of Legacy Week, which is the first week in September. Sometimes referred to as Pilgrimage to the Shrine, there was usually a church service, a service at the Shrine and a lunch afterwards. Bronze-gold circular metal "film canister" with the word "convergence" applied to lid using "Colour Ease" system available at university at the time. This was essentially a way for Ballarat design students to produce their own transferable graphics and was often applied to packaging. The metal canister is filled with coffee beans, CD Rom, brochure, a coaster and poster. Some invitees received gold-bronze canisters, some received silver.Bronze-gold metal film canister. The Ross-Ensign Ful-Vue Camera was used between 1954 and 1959. It has a flat front plate extending around the viewfinder. It's red window at the back (helps with winding film on) is closable. It has a cast alloy body and a collapsible hood around the viewfinder.
