In 1972 when the uniforms changed from traditional to more modern trend they created interest for prospective trainee nurses. Northern District School of Nursing commenced in 1950. During the early years of the School, student nurse wore a simnple blue dress with white shank buttons. This uniform was worn from School 1 (22/3/1950) thought to School 7 (24/4/1951).
