Presumably it was given to or acquired by Legacy to be viewed by Legatees at one of their gatherings.A film about an important campaign in World War 2. It may have been shown at a gathering of Legatees such as a Comradeship gathering. Comradeship meetings were very important to the Legatees. Photo of the finale at a Melbourne Junior Legatee Annual Demonstration at the Melbourne Town Hall the year is unknown. Throughout the year Melbourne Legacy provided classes for Junior Legatees such as dancing, gymnastics and eurythmics, the Demonstration was an annual event to showcase their skills. Melbourne Legacy conducted Annual Demonstrations / Parades from 1928 through to 1980s, usually held at Melbourne Town Hall. Colour slide taken at a Legacy Boys camp, it appears to be at Lord Somers Camp at Somers. Was with many other slides taken in the 1950s and 1960s. The slides have been photographed to make digital images and moved to archive quality sleeves. Colour slide taken at Blamey House when it was in Balcombe Road, Beaumaris. The house and grounds were purchased for Legacy with a generous donation from the trustees of Blamey House Hostel (accommodation provided for servicemen in World War 2) after the hostel was closed. It was used by Legacy to provide home for young children in need. The boys classes and others appear to have used the pool at times. Was with many other slides taken in the 1950s and 1960s. The slides have been photographed to make digital images and moved to archive quality sleeves. Picture (left to right): John Cain, Norm Borchers, Nancye Cain. John Cain was the 41st Premier of Victoria from 1982-1990. Nancye Cain (nee Williams) is his wife. Norm Borchers passed away in 2008. Borchers was a Club President of the Sebastopol Lions Club (1975-76). He worked for the railways as an engineering employee and was long-term trade unionist (Amalgamated Engineering Union and the Australian Railways Union) and ALP member; he lived and worked in the Ballarat area. Norm was active in workplace disputes during the ALP split in 1955.
