The brothers in the photograph are George, Alkinos and Dimitri Paizis who arrived in Australia from the Ithacan village of Kioni some time in the 1920s. Their parents were Anastasia and Galeri Paizis. Charles George Darvall (letter re him from Mrs Margaret Stevens, great grand-daughter). Reference to painting of Darvall being at Dudley House, Bendigo and that author stated that she would supply a 'short history' on GDV. The certificate lists the members of the Supplejack Tent No.401 Dumbalk who have volunteered for "Active Service in response to the Empire's Call." Names handwritten in black ink.
