Title page has been hand written to Les Denmead, dated 6/7/1970, thanking Mr. Denmead for his assistance over the years. 1037 - Newspaper clipping from The Sun (Melbourne), April 15, 1972 in the Magazine section of the newspaper, called 'Then and Now' about the closure the following day of the Bendigo tramways. Gives an outline history of the tramway system, and two stories about the tramways, one about a driver named "Hellfire Jack" and an accident between a tram he was driving and a horse pulled dray loaded with tomatoes.
