Occupational currency issued by Japanese Occupational Forces to control economic activity. Part of the collection of "Thomas Leslie Wilkinson", enlisted CMF V29622 and transferred AIF 3/8/42 on VX843388. Served on Morotai 2/9th Aust General Hospital.Miscellaneous Occupational Currency. 1. Ten Peso note, white paper, blue shaded, black stylised edges, image of palm trees on right. Back is brown on white No.10 in each corner and ten Pesos written in middle. 2. One Gulden note. Both sides brown writing and images in brown. Number "One" on both sides to the left and right. 3. Five Gulden note. Both sides predominately in green. Pictures of coconut trees to left and right and stamped SG. 4. Ten Dollar notes, country unknown. Pictures of coconut and banana trees on front and No. 10 in each corner.
