The school in Peterborough was operating out of the hall at that time. This is probably the last group of students at the Peterborough school as the Timboon Consolidated School was opened in 1948.Shows the small school and names of local students at that time. Meat rations applied to red meat only. Initially it allowed 21/4 pounds per adult, per week. The Queensland Governor Sir John Lavarack and his wife were attending the opening of the Legacy childrens' residence, Moorlands, in Brisbane on 20 February 1947. Moorlands is a heritage-listed villa at 451 Coronation Drive, Auchenflower, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Richard Gailey and was built c. 1892 by contractor Arthur Smith. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 August 1992.
