The name Croajingolong derives from the Australian Aboriginal Krauatungalung words galung, meaning "belonging to" and kraua, meaning "east". 2216.1 belonged to Mary Gilbert, a former teacher at the school. 2216.2 belonged to Brenda Murray, a former mayor of East Gippsland Shire and a prominent Orbost resident.This magazine is a useful reference tool.Two copies of a magazine, Croajingolong '68.
