This petticoat was donated along with other well kept items of women's clothing. the pin tucks and lace trim could have been made to give flexibility to the length. The clothing once belonged to members of a family who migrated from Faversham, Kent, England to Sydney, Australia in the late 19th - early 20th century and was passed down through the family. Clothing. Very fine, white linen 12cms by 12 cms square, that has a band of white lace, 9 cm deep hand-stitched around the linen.
