Wal Jack had an extensive range of correspondents throughout Australia and the world who often provided him with detailed drawings and notes on various tramway systems. Black and white negative, by Wal Jack, of S 157 in Gordon St (possibly near Monash St.) Tram has the "Special E" destination indicating it was on an Explosive factory working. Note the CGA (Commonwealth Government of Australia) sub-station for the works on the other side of the road. There is a high voltage power line in the background and behind the substation.
